TUMBLING CLASSES AT WORLD ELITE KIDS
At World Elite Kids our tumbling classes provide an amazing opportunity to master the basics and move to the highest level of tumbling.
PRESCHOOL CLASSES: AGES 3 TO 5
This class is designed to develop your child’s physical and social abilities through body movement, group participation & basic motor skills. They will focus on all the beginner essential tumbling skills such as forward & backward rolls, handstands and cartwheels.
Class goals: Each month is focused on specific tumbling skills that will help your child gain strength and knowledge of proper tumbling progressions.
This class is designed to develop your child’s physical and social abilities through body movement, group participation & basic motor skills. They will continue to polish their core tumbling technique as well as be introduced to new equipment and drills.
Class goals: A larger focus of skill and strength development as well as balance using small scale equipment, trampolines and fun drills and games. A monthly focus on specific tumbling skills will help further knowledge of proper tumbling progressions.
Super Rollers will continue to perfect their technique as well as progress through obstacle courses, drills and stations. They will continuously be introduced to challenging combination tumbling and new skills such as bridges and round offs.
Class goals: Super Rollers will improve their strength, focus and self-confidence as they grow in this program. They will gain independence in their performance of the skills. A monthly focus on specific tumbling skills will help further knowledge of proper tumbling progressions on equipment and trampoline!
TUMBLING CLASSES: AGES 6 TO 18
INTRO TO TUMBLING
An introductory class for students who are brand new to tumbling. Students will learn the fundamental skillsets required to learn how to tumble. Class focuses on general strength, flexibility and body awareness.
Students will learn to control basic body positions and beginning tumbling skills. Pre-Requisite: n/a
Class goals: Students will focus on the handstand, forward & backward rolls, bridges and cartwheels.
WALKOVERS & ROUND OFFS
Students will learn novice body positions and tumbling skills. Pre-Requisite: Tumbling 101, or by placement.
Class goals: Students will focus on a variety of drills, progressions, and strength training to achieve the back and front walkover, and mastering the round off.
Students will learn how to perfect beginning and novice level positions and skills. Pre-Requisite: Walkovers & Round Offs, or by placement.
Class goals: Students will focus on a standing back handspring and round off back handspring, while introducing the front handspring.
Students will learn drills to increase speed and power into their tumbling. Pre-Requisite: Handsprings 101, or by placement.
Class goals: Students will focus on the connection of multiple handsprings, along with a strong rebound.
TUCKS & AERIALS
Students will learn air sense and body awareness. Pre-Requisite: Advanced Handsprings, or by placement.
Class goals: Students will focus on flipping in a tucked position both forward and backwards, in both running and standing tumbling. Ariels, along with other acrobatic skills are worked on.
Students will learn the most elite level of body control and performance. Pre-Requisite: Layouts, or by placement.
